I've been doing home recording since I was 15, I'm now 21. I consider myself fairly knowledgable when it comes home recording. My current set up is only about 500 bucks and it produces good results but not what I'm looking for. I'm having a space built in a friends basement with a vocal booth and all. I have 10gs to spend but I have no idea how I should spend this and what I should get. I've recorded hip-hop my whole life so I don't have a lot of knowledge as to what I should purchase for recording anything other than vocals. Here is what I've been thinking about doing...Buy a Digi 002 factory, an alienware computer built for home recording, standard mics and racks, monitors, and pretty much be good to go. I don't know everything tho, what is the best way I could do this within my budget and get the best results. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
