This song has been somewhat of an obsession of mine for about a year. About a year ago I did a cover of "Red" from King Crimson just to see if I could do it. It was okay, but there were alot of problems with it - both with the recording and my playing on it. Since then I've re-tooled everything and I decided what better way to play around with my new equipment but to retry the song that was bugging the hell out of me. I'm doing everything here except the drums which are programmed. So here goes...

You captured the original sounds really really well, might use a lot less reverb on everything though, the original sounds more in your face.

Great playing!

Too bad the drums aren´t real, but the programming is great, I´m sure you put a hell lot of work in that. Maybe I can record some real drums for you sometime?

I think I could tone the verb in the snare especially. I think that might be the main culprit. There isn't too much in the guitars.

I admit I had a little bit of an issue mixing it. The guitars sound pretty up front to me, but this is the first time I really punched up the drums in one of my recordings. I tend to be a little wimpy with mixing drums.

Hey I may take you up sometime on that! I can actually drum okay, but I don't have a set and recording them isn't very feasible for me.
