ordered three of them with cables, case`s, mic clips etc..
got me a lil`mic stand to position the mic infront of my guitar cab/speaker...kicked up my PA system a bit, and played...
I LOVE IT!!
for my untrained ears, it sounded absolutly GREAT!!..these mics are not cheap light weight plastic, but rather metal and fairly heavy considering...
I do not own a SM57 to do a back to back comparison, but i do have a freind that owns a few, maybe one of these days I`ll barrow one of his and compare them, but for what I`m doing over here right now, I`m VERY happy with my knock off ES-57`s..
they were $39 each, and came with a mic clip, a bag, a 25ft XLR cable, and a velcro thingy..LOL
three of these sets is what I got..
GLS Audio Mic Package - ES-57 Mic, 25ft Mic Cable, Mic Bag, Mic Clip, & Velcro Cable Wraps
(I have`nt tested the cables that came with them yet)
I also ordered this cheap lil`setup seen here..
Gear One My First Recording Accessories Pack: Shop Accessories & Other Musical Instruments | Musician's Friend
for $29, i honestly expected some serious cheap stuff, but figured it`d be worth it for what I`m doing..(I was really only looking for a shorty mic stand to place infront of my guitar cab, then ran across this, and figured I`d give it a try..)
it arrived, and I`m happy as hell with it also!!!
I`ve found the boom stand, to be pretty stout..considering the cheap name/price..(the boom is fully adjustable and teloscoptic...I`ll bet i spelled that wrong..LOL)
anyway..
the 20ft XLR cables are repairable which i liked, they have lil`screws you can remove to fix any bad conections in the ends etc..their pretty thin/light, but after testing them last night, i heard no nasty noise what so ever..which is pretty amazing considering my cord routing..which is all over the place and over lapping everywhere..LOL..
anyway, I just figured I`d post my latest cheap gear addition..LOL
honestly could`nt be happier!
