ordered three of them with cables, case`s, mic clips etc..
got me a lil`mic stand to position the mic infront of my guitar cab/speaker...kicked up my PA system a bit, and played...

I LOVE IT!!

for my untrained ears, it sounded absolutly GREAT!!..these mics are not cheap light weight plastic, but rather metal and fairly heavy considering...

I do not own a SM57 to do a back to back comparison, but i do have a freind that owns a few, maybe one of these days I`ll barrow one of his and compare them, but for what I`m doing over here right now, I`m VERY happy with my knock off ES-57`s..

they were $39 each, and came with a mic clip, a bag, a 25ft XLR cable, and a velcro thingy..LOL
three of these sets is what I got..
GLS Audio Mic Package - ES-57 Mic, 25ft Mic Cable, Mic Bag, Mic Clip, & Velcro Cable Wraps
(I have`nt tested the cables that came with them yet)

I also ordered this cheap lil`setup seen here..
Gear One My First Recording Accessories Pack: Shop Accessories & Other Musical Instruments | Musician's Friend

for $29, i honestly expected some serious cheap stuff, but figured it`d be worth it for what I`m doing..(I was really only looking for a shorty mic stand to place infront of my guitar cab, then ran across this, and figured I`d give it a try..)
it arrived, and I`m happy as hell with it also!!!
I`ve found the boom stand, to be pretty stout..considering the cheap name/price..(the boom is fully adjustable and teloscoptic...I`ll bet i spelled that wrong..LOL)
anyway..
the 20ft XLR cables are repairable which i liked, they have lil`screws you can remove to fix any bad conections in the ends etc..their pretty thin/light, but after testing them last night, i heard no nasty noise what so ever..which is pretty amazing considering my cord routing..which is all over the place and over lapping everywhere..LOL..

anyway, I just figured I`d post my latest cheap gear addition..LOL
honestly could`nt be happier!

ohh hey, I forgot to mention one thing..the MIC clip, is a bit questionable, I thought I was going to break it sliding the mic into it..it`s VERY tight, and just barely slides on enough to clear where the cable plugs in...it did work, but they could stand to have a bit bigger ID..

again, it did work, but barely..as long as it does`nt break, it`s defiantly going to hold the mic firm, I will say that..

and also, I was a bit disappointed, that these mics did not improve my guitar playing...LOL

Ya the mic clips are definitely small, but they held on to the ES57 hanging downward so they seem to be okay, maybe after a little of the ol' in-out they will loosen up. The mics themselves sound good, i don't have anything to compare them with but here is a recording with two of them and a ES58(basically the same thing) View attachment Recordingv.mp3 WP_000173.webp

right on john! glad your enjoying your GLS mics as well...and you may be right about the clips, and agreed, atleast they do hold the mics firm!!!

that said, maybe one day, as a wise man once said..LOL
"Any mic you buy will be perfectly suited to your needs, until you use it long enough to learn that it's not".

but for now I`m happy!!

Bwahahahahahahahahahah! I mean yeah. :D

I've also said that *any piece of equipment worth owning - is worth owning two of*!

Probably the same clips as are cheaply sold on sites like music123.com - I was afraid I was going to break one putting an SM58 into it.

I have 2 ES57's and I love them. You really can't beat them for the price. I also have an SM57 and an Audix i5. I did a comparison of the three quite some time ago................it's here on hr.com somewhere.
