I Bought a New Marshall Amp....

OK Buck62, you should go into advertizing for Marshall. I picked up an AVT50 on my way home yesterday!

AVT50 sounds great - love the distortion with my Les Paul and the clean sounds excellent with my Strat.

Wow! I wasn't trying to sell anyone on the AVT50, but I'm really glad you like it!

I know that when it comes to amps (and guitars) opinions are subjective to the individual listener.... that's why I tell people to try things out for themselves. But it's really hard to NOT like the AVT50. It's a great amp for the money.

I was also happy to see the card inside where they extended the warranty period. That shows that Marshall has faith in the quality of their product.
I played out at a bar last Sunday night with my AVT50, and it was a stellar performer. The other guys had a Fender Twin, a Hot Rod Deville, and a Crate. They all LOVED the tone of my AVT50!!

It was definitely a good investment.... enjoy!!!!

I posted a couple of months ago about the AVT 50 and AVT100 here but go no responses. My review basically said that I was blown away by how much they sounded like "tube" Marshalls.

Can you specify what type of speaker emulation to use on the AVT50?
Something like '78 4x12, or Modern 4x12?
