i bought a fostex vf80ex

and my recording comes out like with no effects and my vocals are on 1 side and my guitar is on the other....everything thing else is awesome...quality is top notch...had a yamaha MT120 but sold it to upgrade to this machine :) any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Without much to go on, it sounds like you may have either recorded a mono track onto a stereo track, or you got something going on with the panning.

As far as effects, I can't say too much without looking at the manual, but they may be just like the MR-8, in that they are virtual efffects that don't get written to the track until you either bounce the tracks or mix down via the stereo outs.

Get into your manual. That's the best advice I can give you. If you bought it second hand and there wasn't a manual, you can download it free off the Fostex website.
 
yup just figured that out i used 2 tracks which was in mono mode not stereo which can have the effects assigned to each individual track ty for the input just the same :D :cool:
