I have an nforce2 soundcard in my PC...has always worked fine.

I installed the version of Cubase LE that i got with my Firepod on here just to screw around with it - do not have the firepod hooked up to this machine though.

It worked fine but I noticed when I drug an mp3 track into the software that it wasn't playing back the right channel. oh well, done screwing with it.

So then i start playing mp3s etc. in windows media as usual - right channel is gone. It's like all of the sudden my soundcard is outputting mono (it is plugged into a reciever which is hooked to my speakers).

I can only assume somehow the Cubase ASIO driver setup screwed it up? But really I have no idea...I looked through the windows settings and everything seems normal.

Any ideas?

Hrmm. Total fluke - but I plugged the RCA inputs from my reciever in and out, and bam - fixed.

Oh...I just realized what happened. When I put the Cubase CD in the drive I had to move the computer a bit, must have jiggled the output cable. My bad, please disregard :)

Frozen picks produce some killer tone! :p

Huh? is this some underground trick I dont know? LOL

LOL!!! it just makes the pick stiff. if its a really thin pick then you could possibly break it when hitting the strings. i put the picks in the freezer and left the ice cube tray next to my tuner. came back home after going out to pick up some strings and realized the ice had melted all over the place. checked the freezer and had ice picks. they thaw out pretty quick
