How would you run a LXP1 in this rig???

I have a LXP-1 that I'd like to use for my main reverb with my Mackie 24-8 board. When I use it live on my 1604, I usually have the return on channel 16 rather than on the "return."

Should I do this for recording? Also, I usually set the MIX at 100% then use the AUX to back off the amount of reverb, when using it live. Is that the best approach in the studio as well?

Thanks.

It depends on how close the unit is to your hands. If the rack is 20 feet away you may want to continue using it where the fader controls the mix rather than having to get up and adjust the unit itself. I use mine on channel 15(left) and 16(right) I have the input at 11:00 O'clock and the output on 2:00 O'clock with the mix knob at 3:00 O'clock.

atomictoyz: Thanks! I currently have it pretty close to my board in my little studio setup. But the AUX sends and returns seem so touch, I really do like having the return on a channel (or two as you mention).

Which brings up another question. Should I be running the returns in stereo like you do? I didn't even realize the LXP1 did anything but just send two identical signals back out of the two outputs.

Thanks again.

Should I use both inputs as well, or can I just send one signal, and use stereo returns?

I would just use one input. I think stereo inputs are generally used for stereo sources.

I have an LPX-1 as well. It's a sweet little 'verb!
