How to work with other programs in Reaper?

Hi everybody, I'm Chris from Holland and I'm a total newbie to the reaper DAW. A few weeks ago I got this DAW from the internet. I don't wanna compose complete songs in reaper; I make my songs with reason 5. Actually, I just need reaper to record vocals and guitar parts for the songs I made in reason. But... since I'm definitly not used to this program, my question is how do to that! Is there a way to just import files into reaper, record new stuff in it and mix it together? Can anybody help me out with this? I'll be very thankfull!!

Absolutely! Open a track in Reaper (CTRL-T), then go up to the drop-down menu and select "Insert." Then select "media file." Reaper will then import audio, video, midi etc. onto that track. It is very fast and easy.

and then you have the question where you want to do the mixing... i imagine this will be reaper so first you will need to create a mixdown at Reason and import that as projects file can never be imported anywhere as is. Just thought would mention to be on the safe side

Had to remove link.

Another cool way is just to drag and drop whatever file you want in reaper into the reaper mix window. Doesn't matter what folder its in just drag it from wherever the file is and it imports it automatically.
