how to re-route tracks with Nuendo, please ?

I'm the first one to jump on people who, just like in this case, I'm pretty sure pirated their software. But, I think banning him just based on a suspicion is a little too "Nazi" for me. A few other scenarios are possible, like the spoiled rich kid syndrome. Who knows? But banning just based on the posts we saw is un-called for, in my opinion.

I usually ask something like "What does the manual say?", hoping they'll come back with something like "I didn't get the manual when I downloaded it from TorrentsAreUs.com." Problem is, there's always some other bozo that doesn't catch on to what I'm trying to do and actually helps him out before we get a chance to read his "confession".

He obviously did not defend himself as to not being a thief. Good riddance IMO.

He was never accused of being a theif before being banned. Your post and the others came after he got banned. Before that, people were just hinting at it, but I don't think English is his first language, so the sarcasm was lost.

Don't get me wrong, if I had to bet on it, I'd say he's sporting a wooden leg and an eye patch. But, that's a pretty quick "BAN" finger someone's got there.

I gave him the benefit (if my advice is actually worthy of benefit) of a doubt that he owned his software. I then gave hints as to what it seemed to me he was using. I never reported him or judged. I gave him a chance to give rebuttal. I would hope that a 'trust fund kid' would have enough intelligence to understand an innuendo (insert pun) from a member of a 'home recording forum' was questioning his ability to own such grand wares. It would have been pretty sweet if this guy was super rich, was grateful for my initial response, and gave me 80G to complete my studio cuz I was nice to him! Naw, just a badly disguised pirate with a poor muse.

Once again, I hate to use that word Chili! You wear an honorable eye patch! :)

I realize you did all that, and you actually tried helping him out. But your only hint BEFORE he was banned was "Something seems obvious here". If his first language isn't English, which it obviously isn't, then that's not enough to warrant a rebuttal because he probably didn't understand what you were saying. The more obvious hints and accusations came after he was already banned.

Like I said, I'm pretty sure he's got a hook for a hand, but I'd hate to see a trend here where people start getting banned just because they have expensive software, don't speak english and fail to respond to a few hints. That's all I'm saying.

At this point, ask to some moderator to delete this thread I opened and to delete also my account. I wouldn't want to disturb anybody.

I think this is what prompted the ban. You know me, I was pretty anal about it when I was a mod. Yeah for sure, people were hinting around and poking fun, but he understood what they meant (ESL or not) so there must be some truth to it. I'm glad to see him gone; I don't want this place to be helping thieves.

Arrrgh!!! not a problem. :drunk:

This I agree with wholeheartedly. I used to try to bait them to filter out those who were legit from those who weren't. With Nuendo, I never came across someone who was legit. With the Waves bundle, I found a few who actually bought them, at least that's what they said and I left them alone.

Agreed. I don't want to be a 'rat' by any means. I would just feel sick if I helped someone who took advantage of......well knowledge i have learned from software that I worked my ass off to get and learn to use. I don't make a habit of calling out people. This guy just struck my nerve enough to poke at him and see what came of it. Had no idea he got banned. I am guessing he must have done something else to warrant banning otherwise? Like I said, I didn't report him. Just made a comment that possibly our 'troops' might understand.

It seems pretty obvious to me that someone....Ah fuck it. Good riddance whomever that Nuendick was!

I got my own shit to deal with.

I am very saddened by the loss of a potentially valuable member of this online community. Just because somebody decides to spend thousands of dollars on recording software to put on a computer that can't run 2 tracks without crashing is no reason to accuse him of...oh nevermind, fuck that dude.

FoulPhil got banned for 3 months for mentioning that he used a cracked software. He wasn't flaunting it, sharing it, promoting it, or linking it. He just said he used it because he wanted to try it out, and bam, the mod-hammer got dropped on a regular contributing member to this site. He didn't know it was so taboo. He even apologized. Don't matter. Be careful what you say with our "mods" roaming around.
