Hi. Im a newbie at this. Im still reading the Cubase LE manual that comes with my Tascam US 144. I just want to know if there is any form of pausing a recordind and continue recording at the same point in which I paused. When I stop recording and then hit REC it begins recording at the very first starting point erasing what was previously recorded earlier.
Thanks.

Yo #1 Wood-man:

Sounds like you're missing a beat in your precedure. You should be able to PAUSE and then restart where you paused. Of course, I do not know the program with which you are working.

But, when you hit the stop button, don't you need to hit the "return to start" button on your recorder? Of course, I have never had my hands on a 144 unit. But, if it records, it should not send you back to start unless you push the button or initiate the return somehow.

Again, I'm kind of reaching for straws here but somebody should have a more succinct answer.

If you don't need a LONG pause, why not just let the recorder run for the pause and start playing again when you are ready?
