hello
I sample with a akai s 950
since now I make my beats mono.
I record them mono too.
Now that I'm going to mix songs, I was thinking to mix my beats stereo! so I just get onother sampler . Will that make your music better?
and what is the best way to do this

peace out zebra

hi :)

hmm beats in mono...so no use of pan or phase shift...in stereo you can apply that per channel and get some interesting stuff going for ya mix. i started mixing in low output level recently and seen an inprovement in my work..maybe it works for you too.
all your beat material comes from a sampler,i would worry bout that cause of the sound being way too 'plastic',nothing from a sampler ever sounded good to me,unless it has some heavy processing on it. Compressing, reverb and pre-reverb mainly take a lot of time to fall in place, and then there EQ...and for that i started mixing 15 minutes and having a 5 minutes break then listening to something else in low volume and going back at it.
Go stereo :)..i'm going 5.1 these days for DVD production.

I'm very happy with my sound
for hiphop is a akai s950 the bomb!!!
the only thing i have to know is how would I mix stero?
I heard there are diferent ways!
hook me up
