How to connect a USB keyboard to a midi interface (standard 5 pin)

I'm trying to get rid of some humming sounds my system makes when my keyboard is connected to the laptop via USB. I use a Saffire audio interface with midi in/out and was wondering if anyone know if I can simply connect a "midi to usb" cable/interface even though they are build to work the other way around (from midi to usb)

If the only connection from your keyboard is the USB MIDI one (i.e. no audio connections to/from your keyboard) there is nothing there that will create a hum unless something is broken.

So don't waste time looking for a cable which a previous extensive search told me didn't exist.

What keyboard are you using?
