Two questions - what do peoplle use to assemble their CDs -- is there a free/shareware program that is decent (I am using iTunes for it now)

Is there a way to mark CD track in one long .wav file. I have a recording of a musical that is one big wav file -- do I have to cut and paste each song.

I am using Cubase LE and Sound Forge Studio

Hey, you should be able to find some freeware/shareware to do it. Start looking at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/. I've found some links to good plugins and other stuff there. They may have something for you to use. Are you looking to put this musical on a cd as one track, or do you want the listener to be able to hear it in many tracks? You will need to split it into multiple tracks, if you want more than one track on your cd.

Multiple tracks

That's exactly it. I want to put each song as its own CD track.

Thanks!

Some programs can search for silence, and divide a big track up, but sometimes they don't work well if there is quiet spots in the music. So, you may need to do it all by hand, but then the results will be what you want.
