How tell ADK A-51 versions?

Hello!


I've had my eyes on the ADK A-51 mics for a little while, and after going thru this forum I've noticed that a lot of people recomend the ADK A-51 versin V and screams out NOT to buy the ADK A-51 version VI....

How can I tell the difference when I visit my local store? (I just want to know so that no music-store-sales-person-rookie) tries to foul me...

to my knowledge the only a-51's they make now are the V's and the tc/tl. I am not 100% sure. Just look at the box/case when you go. Make sure it says V
 
I posted a thread on this a couple of weeks back, .......I too was confused about the differences in the models....

It turns out there are 5 generations of this mic. Apparently the III and the V are the "best" ones, the V being the current model. According to the manufacturer each mic since the III model has it clearly marked on the housing.

So in short, just look at the mic, and it should have a V on it somewhere. :)
