mixmkr, maybe you should have tried New York or LA. Seems to be much more there. Not now of course witht the crappy market. But maybe when things pick back up

I think I record for a living.
I think.....

How did I get there?????

In 1965 - age 15 - recording with my band - for Polygram - falling out with the engineer - who was an old chainsmoking asshole - and hated our music - so he said - so I hated him - and substituted the sausage in his breadroll - for a dog turd - covered in mustard - he took a bite - puked all over the console - kicked out of the studio - studio closed for a week to clean puke out of console - call from record company one week later - have to finish album - back in studio - condition - me do the engineering (as was afraid to meet the puke) - with the second - who had been fired - as he laughed his ass of when engineer puked - don't think anyone else tried this approach - worked for me - third band recorded - first ever #1 globally - amen

That might be the greatest story I've ever heard. If I read it anywhere else i would have assumed it was one of those urban legends...

the sad thing is...... its totally true.
I managed to make it slightly worse by commenting when his puke was on display on the console:
"no wonder that you're such a bad tempered bastard - by the look of it your wife's cooking sucks".
