2 X Demeter HM-1 tube preamp w Jensen xformers

...then it goes downhill fast
16 X borrowable onyx preamps
8 X MOTU 896HD preamps
4 X Mackie 1202 preamps
1 Art TubeMP
my dog's crusty anus

I still have my neighbors hedge clippers I borrowed 5 years ago......well he kinda left them outside...but it is cool that you have a neighbor who is willing to trust you with an API.

Focusrite Octopre
Art Dual MP
Digitech VTP-1
TNC ACMP-1084 Got lucky - mine works fine. This thing sounds thick. I like it.
PM-1K X4 (Recapped, i/o trannies, upgraded transistors. waiting to be put in a box)
Art Tube MP (I wanna do the mods on this suck'r)
Peavey A/A-8P
Behringer Toob Ultragain (tube my ass. but has its uses)
An MCI mixer channel that needs to be racked

I really need to stop being lazy and finish racking some things.

I currently have the following:

Art Tube Mp (1) My first.
Aphex 107 (2) My second. Don't use the tube
Sytek MPX-4A (4) With Burr Browns in channels 3 & 4
Peavey VMP2 (2) Awesome tube pres
True Systems P-Solo (1) Just bought this. So far it sounds incredible!
ADM 780 (2) Still need to send these off to be redone and racked.
32 channels of Allen & Heath

Works for me at this time, but I'm always looking for something else!

two

Jensen Twin Servo 990 - expensive and sounds it.

Prosonus Blue Tube - bought to use while the Jensen was being repaired, it's packed away somewhere now, but would recommend it to someone starting out.

I want my wife to read this thread. Then she'll see I only have three preamps while many others have a dozen or more. My 3:
Buzz Elixir
Avedis ma5
LaChapell 583s

That might be a good argument until she finds out that just one of your mic pres costs as much, if not more, than some people’s whole collection.

currently I own:
1x pro channel (sometimes 2x depending on when I get my 2nd one back from renting it out to a particular singer songwriter)
2x ssl 4000 (I built them myself and racked them up)
1x map (amazing vintage pre-api thick sounding mic preamp - restored, completed and racked up myself)
16x yamaha rm board series (excellent clean pres)

that's it today. changes regularly. I normally have more than that for outboard but that's all at the moment.

Current setup has
2 in motu 828mk2. One crackles and both sound crap.
2 in presonus firestudio mobile.
2 x Auditronics 110a with 3 band eq.
2 x Ward Beck m470a.
8 x Ward Beck m490g with penny and giles faders.

I don't use the ones in the Motu, I bought it for it's line ins tbh.

The presonus is new. Bought it and made a docking rack unit so i can have more line ins at my main setup, but also take it out to be portable :)

Love the auditronics and wbs.

JMK JM-130 (2)
JMK JM-110 (2) ... this one is actually a DI Pre only
Audio Upgrades High Speed Mic Preamp (2)
Symetrix SX202 (4) all Chan have Audio Upgrades' mods

I have some on mixers, but I don't use them anymore

My go to Pre is the JM-130.

My next buy will be some quad pre w/Hardy's 990c

Here is my update and probably will be it. (Although I would like to have a second JM-130)
2 - JMK JM-130
2 - JMK JM-110 (this one is actually a DI Pre only)
2 - Dementer H Series tube mic pre-amp
4 - Symetrix SX-202 (all Chan have Audio Upgrades' mods)
8 - JLM Baby Animal Dual (It has IC opamps right now, but I will upgrade them later)

(I needed the money a while back, so I sold the Audio Upgrades High Speed Mic Preamp. The modified SX-202s seemed just as clean, so I don't feel I have lost much in that area.)
