How good are the Waves CLA compressors?

I am pretty happy with their plugins. I use the CLA 76 on a lot of stuff. I use the 2A on vocals sometimes and it gets the job done. I have also been using the SSL compressor more an more.

Have them they are okay. No "better or worse" than any of the emulations out there IMO. If you are reaching for a plug in because of a perceived sound then IMO you've already missed it.

I tried some of those with free trials. I had a lot of problems with bringing in an analog microphone line in. I'm sticking with the physical 1176. I will wait a bit more for the digital to catch up, or should I say more ASio/driver compatibility.

The B rack is all the lesser quality rack units. I use the B rack for things like, live sound.

The A rack has the better stuff. A 1066 is no 1176. At least not through an analog bus.

What do you mean "had a lot of problems with bringing in an analog mirrophone line in"[....?
I doin't think that's an issue with the Waves plugs....maybe it's your "A rack".
