good, look to upgrade your RAM to 2GB -- it will help a lot.

other than that it looks good. does it come w/ that monitor for that price?? if so - holy crap that's cheap.

The monitor is sold seperatly, but still that is a great buy. As is, it will get you a long way.

thats what i was thinking. theres a gateway with all the same specs but 2 GB ram, doint remember how much but it wasnt that much more. the HP has the light scribe, which is why i wanted HP in the first place, but i'm still open.

what recording software are you going to use? hopfully it has a setting for dual processing.what recording software are you going to use? hopefully it has a setting for dual processing that way you can get full use of the dual core. The video card say’s 256 shared memory and that there’s one PCI express slot available which tells me its probably an onboard card. You may want to get a video card so you don’t have to sacrifice memory for the card. Other than that it looks like a good machine and I would choose hp over a dell. Dell may get you the cheapest pc but for better reliability I would go with HP.

Really? I've had the exact opposite experience. Everything from HP that I ever got (2 computers) were nightmares, and I've had zero problems with my Dell Laptop. Funny how that works. Just shows how finniky computers can be.
