how do i post a mix???

i have been posting on this bbs for a while now and i have no clue as to how i would post a mix for you all to check out.
i am guessing that all i need is a cd burner in my computer and i have that. now what do i do???
mabye there is a link with these steps?

ok. you wanna post one of your songs.

first, you have to have an song. If you have an mp3 of your song, great. If you have a .wav or it's on a cd, you need to encode your song to mp3 format for posting on the internet.

here is a good program for making mp3s from audio cds or wav files called cdex

Next, you need a place to post the mp3 you had or just created. You can establish a place to host. Normally, I would point you towards Nowhereradio but as you can see, they are no longer offering free musicians hosting. You can check www.soundclick.com to see if you can host your mp3 there.

then, when your song is available online, you post a link to it here and specify what kind of comments you would like your song to get. IE, do you want to hear what we think in terms of mix, songwriting, performances, etc...

that's pretty much it. I'm glad you're coming forward with your tunes. That's half the fun of this board!
