This is driving me mad... The process does not seem at all intuitive. Apparently, you're supposed to paint it in to the events editor.

I'm trying to set up an automated event pattern in FL Studio. The purpose: To alter the volume of the drum bus track over the course of and at specific points in my song.

Thanks

Ack! Sorry... Another false alarm... I have just discovered automation clips and they are working for me...

Except - now there's a very weird problem come up: I've set up an auto-clip for a couple of my drum sub-mixes and instead of staying put over the period after the volume shift, the sliders are jittering up and down all over the place. I've checked to make sure the line in the envelope is straight, all the way along. What could be causing this, do you think?

I had the jittering problem, too.
It happens now & then.
Usually a reboot sets things straight.
I'm less of an expert than you are with FL.
In fact, FL is so complex and non-user friendly, I only use it minimally to create with.
I transfer basic tracks onto my Sonar program & edit from there.
I've made a few impressive (to me) things on FL, but the amount of time it takes to create a song isn't worth it to me usually.
My FL program has been reduced to a drum track maker, most of the time.
