How do I get rid of the static in Sonar Home Studio 7?

Every time I play something back, I keep getting static and I don't know why. I think I may have something setup wrong, but I'm really not sure. Also, when I record in audio, I get that same static sound when I play it back.

Do I have my inputs set up wrong or what? I have no idea what to do.

Number of tracks
Bit depth
Buffers

All of these can affect your ability to channels bits of audio. Your computer can only spit out so many bits per millisecond and all of these can affect that. You should get a pretty tight grip on the terms above to make your PC recording experience a little more pleasant.
