How do I fix this annoying buzzing sound?

I had recently purchased a CAD U1 usb microphone.
It's been working great for the past few weeks,
but I just realized it's been making a weird buzzing sound in the background.

When I record my singing or Skype people they complain about it too.
They say that when I talk it's poor quality, as well.

Before this problem, everything has sounded great and this microphone (for being really inexpensive) has provided me with good quality recording and VERY little background noise.

Is this a setting that I need to fix on my computer?
Or is this microphone just a really bad brand?

Laptop? Try unplugging the power cord and running on battery when recording.

Got flourescent lights or a dimmer in the room???

Sweep your house for .gov bugs. The buzz could be many things. Battery versus AC power. The cord to the mic got degraded. The cord to the mic is draped across something influential. The mic is broke. Microsoft added a new feature, automatic buzz enhancement. No need to thank them, it's FREE. Move away from that nuclear power plant. And that power sub station. And that pirate radio station. And the airport, firehouse, police station, hospital, office building, ... I guess that's why Bin Ladens' recordings are always so clean audio wise.

Sledge hammers... baseball bats... there are many things that could help with that ;)

Nope...sorry...you can't fix the buzzing with - "hahah dicks"

That never works. :D
