How do I achieve these overused Hip Hop Effects?

How do you do these effects?..And yes, some are Hip Hop Effects
One effect Ive been wanting to add to my Arsenal is an effect where you bring the pitch on a given vocal section down way low ( Screwed , in Hip Hop Terms). Not only do i want to bring it down, but I want it to be a gradual change from the normal pitch.

Another effect Ive been trying to achieve is an effect that is used in EVERY scary movie ever. The one where Someone is talking and they sound Very Evil. There is massive reverb on the vocals , I know that, but what else goes into this??
 
Evil sound should be simple as a pitch shifter plug in set down 12 steps - there are a lot of free pitch shifter - auto-tune type VSTs - will probably do both effects you want
 
Yeah I know the pitch shift one, the one im looking for keeps the overall pitch the same..it just sounds like it echos...and theres whispers in the background..i dont know.( On the evil sound)

On the first one also, i know about the pitch tool..i just dont know how to make it gradually switch. Would i hace to have an FX chain, where there would be like a fader or something, as well as the pitch change?
 
Another technique that is great for evil sounding vocals is layering with a wisper track, as well as a kinda of low growl.
 
Give us a YouTube link of someone sounding evil the way you want. There's a lot of ways to get "evil" sounding vocals. As mentioned: pitch shift it down, layer on a whispered and/or growled track, reverb/delay. There's also children speaking in monotone, backmasking, screaming, etc.
 
Thanks guys, What Im looking for is a way to change the Music so that it is like 100% low frequency, like all bassy. And have the evil sounding FX for like 10-15 seconds, and have the regular music kick back in. You guys have given me some good ideas on how to accomplish the Vocal part of it. What would I have to do to temporarily have the music sound out of wack?
 
That sounds like you want a low-pass filter.
