Okay....so I got these used Sp-5b's a couple weeks ago...they seemed to be working great the first couple days...but about the third day...I woke up powered the laptop on and the stereo imaging was off. I panned hard right (the side where the music seemed closer to) and it sounded fine...then I panned hard left and noticed that the volume was lower and had less bass in it. Can a monitor just up and DIE in the middle of the night for NO reason???
I have checked the cables and I even returned the M-Audio Duo...and got a new one in hopes that it was causing the problem.
I also...went and bought a new copy of XP w.SP1 so that I could do a clean install.
I was having problems with the Duo before the monitor started acting funny...so I also updated my BIOS! AND....I added another 512MB RAM to this damn thing.
So....I received the NEW Duo in the mail....had everything newly installed and updated..yet..when I went to hook up the Duo...I had the same problem I had before! PLUS...the left monitor was still acting UP!
What the fuck is going on here....I waited patiently for two weeks to accomplish all this updating and shit...and now I am no better off then I was before...Is this Monitor SHOT or what....and is there a test or something I can run on it to make sure?
