:D:D:D Oh hell no I aint!:D But I got one here that might be some what in that vein. It probably sux as usual, but you can take a peek if you like. www.javamusic.com/555 the song is called Southern Cowboy.

wow. i dont even dig country at ALL but this song is great. finally, someone who can actually SING!very pro sounding.great rasp in your voice, with good control.tasteful.are you playing everything?

Very nice David. Like the guitars and vocals, great singing. - Reminds me a bit of the black crows guy, whatever his name is.

Onto the nitpicking. The kick is out on some of the punches. If you are digital maybe you could drag these into place - it's mainly during the quiet part where it's only kick. The bass guitar is a little blurry to me - could be sharper. Good work though. (steve earl at the end? :))

Ok, maybe today's country.....nice pop sound, loved the ending, which actually could have been drawn out a bit more....

but you of all people....you shoulda put fiddle all over that thing...I mean all over!....layers and layers of em!.......

agree with Emeric 'bout the bass.....gibs

Jager...thanks for the more than kind words man, but I don't really consider my self some one that can actually sing..pretty much wanna go and hide when I hear my self:D. I only played the guitars in this one, but may redo the bass sometime soon. Thanks

Emeric...black crows eh? I don't mind sounding like that guy so much, but if go to looking like him...well, hope somebody put's me out of my misery:D. The drums were having to use are just terrible, their out of date and half ass work most of the time...well you hear how bad they sound. The bass is a diff story, just haven't dialed in a tone i'm happy with. It's a fender jazz, I recorded a guy while back who had an Ibanez with active p/u, man it was instant bass in yo face from the getgo, just had a very nice sound to it. If the ending is a little "Steve Earl-ish" I'm okay with it...he's kool in my book! Thanks

gibs...glad to see you back around these parts, how's your moma? Hope she's doing fine! Yeah I've been hearing a fiddle with this thing, and actually been looking for some one. There's an old guy around these parts they say is super bad ass on one, so I might just see if he's game. Thanks

Great job. Great singing, and I love the fact that you've got piano in there. Very nice. The drums, are those samples? They do sort of stand out, not really settled in the mix, if you know what I mean. Also, sometimes the vocal is a little uneven volume wise, sometimes you can hear the reverb or ambience more than at other times. Maybe a little compression or fader riding or whatever. The ending is definitely very cool, and would be great if it kept going.

macle...thanks for the listen. The drums module is an Alesis SR16? I dunno have to check, but I think it was the first one that came out about a hundred yrs ago, so it's really gone to crapp. I agree with the vocals, they are parts that stand out a little more than I wanted, I'll try and fix that next time around. My drummer hates the ending (matter o fact the whole song) that's why I cut it short, I'll probably redo the whole song one of these day's, but I'll keep these notes on hand. Thanks a bunch...David

David,

Damn, I didn't hear anything wrong with the singing. I thought the vox were great. The drum set sounded extra good to me too. Good song dude.

Ray J

Hey Ray, thanks for the nice coments man, means a lot. My drummer friend say's he's going to break down and purchase a better kit by the first of the year..I sure hope so,,,we'll see. Thanks bud...David
