Well, the subject just about says it all.
These seem to be the only viable options on the market in the $150-$250 market.
If you include the bracket with the hoontech they're the same price (in UK anyway) so which's best.

Some issues I've thought of:

- With the hoontech, I don't like the way you need that bracket for the midi connections as it takes up another slot which is a bit messy if u ask me?
- Could I do without the bracket on the hoontech and use my SB Live for midi or would that be totally stupid?

- And something else that's bothering me, what about soundfonts, I like soundfonts, I can get some great piano sounds and stuff, so with these two cards can u still use soundfonts,a nd if not what do you do? Do they have a synth on board or what?

Well, no-one's biting on this one so I'll just have to reply to myself.

For what it's worth I got the subject wrong, should be Maudio audiophile, not midiman.
Come on, somebody's gotta know something ?

Maston.

M-Audio = Midiman.

And go with the Audiophile, how ever you want to label it! ;)

Thanks Dolemite,

Just out of curiosity, what makes the audiophile the better deal.
