Hooking passive speakers up to sound card

Hi:

I am setting up a second smaller pair of Tannoy Reveal speakers in my studio. However, unlike my first pair, these speakers are passive, which need speaker wire to receive their signal.

Do I need to buy some kind of small receiver to power these speakers or is there another way to connect these to my MOTU 24 I/O sound card?

You will need an amp to power them. Just be sure to get the right wattage, or your speakers will explode in your face.
