Here's the link for the original mp3.com homerec station.

I'm not sure who was the originator of this thing, maybe nilbog?

Anyway, it's been there for a long time. It's cool to see though, that most of the artists listed are still hanging around. :D

Yeah, I'm done with mp3.com also. I'm gonna leave what's there, but not upload anything new. I just set up @ Nowhere Radio also, same tunes... but someday, I'll get back to work. (probably when baby Maggie is grown.) :D

Not alot of songs on that one... Some of 'em are from waaay back...

I figure there's at least 50 homerec songs on NWR that'd fit into the list. I'd co-ordinate it's creation myself, but I'm swamped with adding the new features, and taking care of regular business.

Someone want to volunteer?

Well, I might.....but how would I find them? Should I go thru the Mp3 forum archives?

I suppose, or maybe start a thread asking for all homerec members on NWR to post a link... That'd prolly be easier.

Sounds reasonable. I'll get started tonight. It'll probably take a week or two. I'm pretty busy but once it gets done it'll be easy to keep up with. I'll ask you if I have any questions.

Hey Waldo......help...

OK I've started the list. I checked the box labeled "allow others to load this list" Is that what you mean by turning the public option on? How do others find that list? They go to the listen page and there's a button for public playlists?

OK I've figured out how to get the list but when I click on play list it only plays about 15 seconds of each tune. What's up with that? How can I just let the songs play through and if someone wants to look at the list..do they load it?

If it's only playling that much of each song, you've got a problem on your end. What player are you using?

To look at the list, they just have to click on the name of the list. This doesn't 'load' the list, but just lists the songs.

Here's a direct link to the full list:

It's Neromediaplayer. I assume there's probably some options. I'm not attached to this player though. If there's another one you think is better, tell me how to change and I'll use a different one.

I like using WinAmp. I've got the cross fade plugin turned on, and added RockSteady (it's a normalizer that works across songs, so they all roughly come through the same volume), plus I have it set to shuffle and repeat... So it's almost like listening to a real radio station as the songs all come through the same level, fade into one and other smoothly, and come up unexpectadly ;)

You've got alot of control over how the music sounds, and it's pretty damn at decoding the mp3's properly.
