Homemade snare - where do I get the parts?

Hi there,
I was thinking about making my own snare.
Does anyone know an online place/site that would sell the shell, lugs, hoops etc and some drilling/assembly instructions.
I,m after a "snare drum kit" if ya know what I mean.
