I followed the dbybooth way of making my panels. In fact I posted a thread about them some time ago, here they are here.

I still have 8 sheets left of the 2x4 703, but I think I may get some of this stuff here, since it has the same specs if not better and is environmentally friendly as well as fire retardant.

They aren't as sturdy or rigid as the 703, but if they are in the wooden frames, I am not sure that will matter much.

You could cut 3/4" MDF to fit either inside or over the window frames, with weatherstripping to ask as a gasket when it is pressed into place. You would need some sort of latches that keep the plugs in place with the weatherstipping tightly compressed. But again, this is only necessary if you're trying to soundproof the room. Personally, I like to be able to record without capturing the sounds of the idiots out there squealing their tires up and down the street, but that's just me

Yea, but the windows are in my mixing/monitoring room. So not as big of issue and it's still confusing what you are saying but I get the picture hehe

Just want to say I am really jazzed about getting that folding door idea done man, thanks again for that idea. I was also wondering. Since I dont REALLY want to put the extra countertop desk to the left in the room to make the U-shape (kind of a pain), you think it would be ok to just put one of those folding tables over to the left?

I have one like this:

in the garage that might be about perfect length and its easy to just unfold it. I think I am going to use it! (hopefully its about the same height)

Now that a i think about it, the vocal/amp booth should be setup like this, with you, or the amp facing the absorbers. If you face away from them, the sound will just reberb off the walls, but facing into them the sound will be absorbed, and that is hat you are looking for. It does matter so much with the sound coming through the door from your control room, as long as you seal round the door properly. Just remember to have the volume in the control room quite low while recording.

C7sus bult a bunch of freestanding moveable gobos and might have some good ideas; you can PM him and see what his results were with them. I think he put a hell of a lot of work into them, though. The idea of the gobo is that it is a moveable absorbtion or diffusion panel. Being moveable (on feet) allows you to place them anywhere in a room - wherever one seems to be needed.

And for tables and furnioture - think a little about commercial printer stands. I have access to a state surplus warehouse where you can get stuff like this for ten bucks, with casters. What's neat is that the space between the welded legs is about 20". You can get clever with a little plywood and have moveable racks, plus a good surface for a mixer, or a reel to reel, whatever.

Thik the transport is the cheaper way to go for me. I may not even need it tho if i can't figure out my setup. The boss said "No tearing down walls!....or building them for that matter.." So I guess thats out, looking for some more suggestions hehe

I think I am gonna stick to the bifold door idea, but I will keep the gobos in mind Also for the furniture I have this darn Countertop installed as u can see in the diagram and I am gonna put the folding table on the left wall which i salmost the same height and perfect length to hopefully balance it out and give better acoustics.

Ooh I would like a place like that where I could get cheap furntiure to rehash and use for something now a days....

yes

yes. you may or may not be aware that there is a HUGE psp scene, the most popular part of it is homebrew programs. it requires some workarounds, and alittle bit of patience, but there is a vast array of homemade software you can run on your psp, including, but not limited to, emulators, media players, original games, flash players, and yes, a VNC app. PVNC 1.2 is the most recent one.

sure beats the hell out of a laptop. your kids(?) can play with it, you can have some fun with it, and it will display whatever you want it to, as long as you can get it on your computer screen. i.e. the transport panel in your software of choice. i used it a while ago, just to mess with my brother, and it worked. Quite well.
