Hey guys, I am fairly new to recording.
I have a small record label and there are no studios left where I live so I am building a very basic one, mainly for vocals.

I am going to buy the Peavey PV6 USB, is that good?
I have Logic Pro 8 to use for recording, I know how to use this.
M Audio Studiophile AV40 Monitors
I have a Shure C606, (a lower end version of SM58)
and was thinking later on I would get a Audio Technica At2020, is this a good setup?

Thanks,
Oliver

Any setup that allows you to learn to record what you feel is good for you, is a good setup. Anyone can give advice as to what is the best, but in the end it is how you use the tools you have to create or produce the sounds you are looking for. Take the reviews as a basis for purchase decisions. How you use these links in the chain is what is important. :)

The PV6 will only allow you to record two tracks at one time (one panned left, the other right). Microphones are a variable affected by WHAT you are recording (vocals, acoustic instruments, amped instruments, etc.)
