The good doctor has a point. It's kind of like owning a 1981 Lamborghini Countach when you live in Venice and work in West Hollywood. There's something horrible about inching through smoggy stop-and-go traffic with the sun in your eyes at 5 p.m., zero visibility, a racing suspension that transmits every tiny paving imperfection as a painful jolt to your back, a clutch that makes your left quadraceps spasm, an overheated engine in the already-sweltering driver's compartment (due to the huge "solar advantage" of what is humorously called the front windshield), grossly inadequate air conditioning, and a suspension too low to enter the driveway of most businesses without doing $5,000 worth of damage to the vehicle.
On the other hand, it looks cool sitting in your driveway. The Tyan board definitely qualifies as electronic Viagra. ;-) I want two or three of them in my next computer. But will it run Outlook?
Best wishes,
Mark H.
