Yes, my posts in this thread were very looooooooong. I can see where people would have gotten tired reading them :laughings:

Neil Young, love the guy, I can do a reasonable impression of him, but he's like 65 and his best work as long behind him as one of Glen's posts, and the Galilean satellites can't help him.

The moon was kinda near Jupiter two nights ago, broke out the kid's little Astroscan and had a look at those satellites. But they were just playing octaves like an old Wes Montgomery solo, so I kept on movin' on :drunk:

Glenn (and Mshilarious), I'm sorry to tell you this, and I think that you actually both realize this... nobody reads your long posts. They're really for you, venting frustration likely from some other part of your life. I do read some, enough for me to conclude that:

The truth is that no one knows.

I do think both of you are very helpful and I respect that immensely. :)

At the rate this is going, I predict it wll be changed back to "Holy Fuck" by noon.

I found this to be pretty interesting: http://astrobiology.nasa.gov/articles/the-dance-of-the-giant-planets/

Way to avoid the subject, arsehole.

You're a coward and a hypocrite. Don't worry about what people think of others, worry about yourself. You think anyone takes your posts seriously??? I think you'd be rather disappointed to find out that your "audio advice" is considered to be some of the stupidest shit ever written by someone who's supposed to have any experience.

You think nobody sees through your phony "I'll take the high road' every time someone proves you wrong about something, which is pretty much every time anyone tries to? All of a sudden, you avoid the subject and start playing "psychologist". Or you just disappear from the thread completely. Like when you make an assanine statements like "Motown studios had no room treatment" and somepne like Rick Fitapatrick, who actually knows what he's talking about and not just spewing bullshit like you, sets you straight with a severe spanking to boot. Lol!

And don't pretend this post was too long for you to read, coward.

Fucking loser.

Rami, you're another good guy I like. All the name calling does not reflect the way I think you probably really are. I am positive we would like each other if we met face to face.

I keep watching CNN thinking I'll be interrupted by an announcement that there's been a huge explosion in Montreal and now there's a 2 mile crater - it was Rami's head exploding!

You're headed toward a heart attack buddy, and I mean that with the deepest sincerity. I've lost 3 friends and I've seen it and heard it in your posts over and over again. A heart attack as clear as day. I'd watch out for it because you will not be able to keep up the way you're operating, your body won't be able to take it.

Everyone knows myself and SSG are far from buddies so there is not a hint of bias with what I am about to say. If someone goes to the trouble of answering a question you put to them and it's detailed and at length ( was it really that long ? lol ) then you should show enough respect to, at the very minimum, not call it self serving.

I do think both of you are very helpful and I respect that immensely. :)
Kind of patronising in retrospect ?

Holy Carp! Passive-Agressive Kung Fu!

Nice try, loser. My heart is in better shape than people half my age, so you're not hitting a nerve there, coward. :laughings:

You're way too predictable. I see right through your bullshit. It's pretty obvious who's got something up his ass and it's eating away at you. This phony "high road" bullshit only tries (but does not succeed) to mask your extremely obvious insecurity and frustration at never being taken seriously. :D

Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. :)

I did once name one of my diaries "The scribbling diary of a nobody" so I guess 'nobody' did read them. It was a heavy lunch. And in their own way, kind of nourishingly deep. Took my mind right off Neil Young !

Not intended that way. I honestly do like and respect Glenn and Rami. If you check out their posts I do think that they both have been helpful a lot here.

I see through a lot of it. A few months ago Rami called me all sorts of names like he did today. Then a few weeks later I got a remark in my User's CP from him saying he was sorry (!) and for the next few weeks he was civil, and now he's back to spitting and snarling like a Tasmanian devil again.

Ever been at Kmart and some guy is screaming at the clerk? It isn't about the "then and now". It's stuff that guy brought with him into the store and he's letting it loose on the clerk. It is not about the clerk or the moment.

That's the way I see Rami's and Glenn's responses here. There's no way a thread on Neil Young's new songs would elicit those responses. They are, like the guy at Kmart, bringing negative stuff from somewhere else to this thread. It has nothing to do with me, Neil Young or Uranus.

I apologized for a specific comment I made, not about my overall opinion of you. At that time, I actually believed one of your "I'm taking the high road" bullshit posts. But you've, since then, proven to be a hypocrite and a coward. You run away when you know you're wrong, or you hide behind psycho-babble.

It's OK to be ignorant. And, I guess one can get away with being arrogant once in a while, as long as they're not ignorant. Unfortunately, you suffer from both ignorance and arrogance. You think you fool others as well as you fool yourself. Pretty stupid, really.

You know for a minute there, I thought that I was in the cave.

Another thread turns nasty on the Home Recording Forum, who'd ever believe it?

BTW, for an album that's just Neil and a guit there's a whole shit load of production there, I think Sarah Brightman has less.

... BTW, for an album that's just Neil and a guit there's a whole shit load of production there, I think Sarah Brightman has less.

I was surprised by that too. The interviews with producer Daniel Lanois talking about that are cool. Neil is always growing and I love his near total lack of nostalgia. I'm not a nostalgia person, and this album is Neil playing the song once and then Daniel chopping it up and making a collage song. There's no overdubs, it's all from a one time through performance.

... The producer of that album said it and it stuck.

There's an interview with Neil on a Charlie Rose show where Neil says that his religion is actually nature. I feel the same. That fits in with the pine cone name. Charlie Rose's show sure has a strange music theme.

Remember when everyone jumped on the Band Aid bandwagon? Canada did a really bad song called Tears Are Not Enough, Neil goes off key in his bit, I heard when the producer pointed it out, all Neil said was: that's my style.

Is there anyone else who can do an entire guitar solo hammering on 1 note? And it sounds good.
