Hey all, my bro and I are recent high school grads, and our project for the past year has been to record our album. I'd say it's alternative rock with grunge influence. The album is free, so please give it a download and a listen! Thanks!

I really enjoyed Summer In The Tundra. Sounded like Hum meets Modest Mouse. The odd rhythms were cool too.
Weakness has a more contemporary sound. Very catchy.
The drums sound pretty good too. I'm trying to figure out if I'm hearing steven slate or really well recorded drums. The fact that I can't tell is probably good.

It seems you are doing a good job combining innovation with tradition. You guys have a 90's sound without being just another weezer or nirvana rip off. Keep up the good work! :thumbs up:

Thanks, man! You've no idea how awesome it is to hear that. I think that's what we've been going for, unique but familiar. All drums are acoustic and miked in my little recording room. I never thought I'd hear someone confusing them for programmed drums; so that's a nice compliment!
 
For sure! Its really a balancing act in order to attract people. The drums sounded pretty powerful, I especially liked the snare sound. I can never get my snares to hit like that. You must be working some wonders both in that room and in the mix.

For sure. I try to make status updates somewhat personal as those seem to attract the most attention. Is there anything specific you would like me to include in the update? Would you like me to post a link to your facebook or bandcamp?
