Hi there...im new!!!!!!

ok i hope this doesnt sound stupid....here we go....ok my husband is starting to put together a fob band...and he has his keyboard, drum machine hooked into the stereo...i just wanted to know what program i would use if i were to hook the stereo into the comp so that i could record what hes playing....and also what im singing.....

please help.......
 
I use KRISTAL also...glad to see another KRISTAL user here
 
There are a lot more people using it; mostly in conjuction with other program.

Mackie Traction recording software is GOOD...and CHEAP $150. BTW, recording from the stereo probably isnt the highest quality way to do this. You might want to get a small mixer (Mackie 1202 VLZ for $300 would work nicely) and a soundcard suitable for recording (Maybe an M Audio Audiophile 2496 $100) Be sure the computer has enough RAM memory too (at least 512 MB)
 
You can download Audacity (multi track recorder) for free and use it to get a pretty good idea of how digital recording works before you spend $$$ for software. It's simple and works with most soundcards. I think it's a good idea to try something like Audacity (kristall is good too) for a while to see what features you like or need before investing, that way you will have a better idea of what you want/need. Start simple, you can always add as you discover what you really need.
