Well I guess I did this a bit backwards. Popped a question in here before introducing myself. That is just rude. My Apologies.

My name is Ken Carter (Kip) and I'm from the Birmingham, Alabama metro area. I'm a music junkie and just getting back into playing after years of not being able to for whatever reason. My primary instrument is a six string acoustic Zager z80e. I also do damage on a mandolin, uke, acoustic bass, and Yamaha keyboard I have here in my basement studio/office.

I have been working on getting my recording gear working as I wished for a good six months (not working on it for six months mind you) and last week did my first successful take. It is rough as I was trying to get comfortable with the equipment and a peddle (a first for me too). Came out better than I expected it (no as good as it should have) but I'm sure with time and experience that will improve as well.

My interface into my DAW is via AudioBox USB. I'm using Studio One v2 on a laptop as my DAW. I work a lot editing cuts from our churches Praise Team with Audacity as well.

I am always open to suggestions and while I am getting along with Studio One, I would switch DAW software if I found something that worked easier or better. But at this point i'm too rank of a novice to even understand the potential of what I'm working with now.

Looking forward to interacting with yall.

Regards,
Kip...

Hey there
:)
Yall.. Damn now I want some grits :)
Hmm's been a while. If I think of it in the morn', there is a spot up the road,, :D

Newbies, huh
I'm the real Kip.:laughings:

Have you tried reaper as a software it's very popular and very cheap for a full functioning daw.

Yes I'm know more as Kip that my legal name. My mother bout had a heart attack when the dr. office reception called for 'Junior' Carter. The nurse explain that she'd best come up with a nickname for me and hope it stuck or I would be known as Junior since I shared the same name as my father. Well she did and it did. So I'm about as Kip as Kip can be Kip, so I guess we are a two Kip ship.

Regards,
Kip...

This guy's starting to make sense. Maybe he's the real Kip!!

Busted :laughings::laughings::laughings::laughings:
My names not Kip I'm the imposter.
I'm really a knight from Neee. :laughings:

As opposed to a knight that says neee? :) Think it is entirely possible there is no imposter at all! Interesting that you spell yours the way I spell mine... most other Kiplings have used two 'p's rather than one. I think the singular P is quite appropriate don't you?

It's from one of my favorite authors Rudyard. You know the one.
The Dutch love to make fun of it. I believe it means little chicken or some such.
I won't even go into my surname which amuses them even more.

Neeee.

Did someone mention shrubbery? Cause I'm fresh out of rizla's:eatpopcorn:

I love to spread the rep.

Currently reading Hunter. S. Thompson. Mescalito.
