I can't really recommend a genre, but I can tell you what not to sing. That song. Nirvana is meant to be sung a lot more guttural than that.

Perhaps find a female song?

Kelly, pull the mic away when you're going to sing loudly and don't sing directly into the mic, across will reduce your breathing popping the mic (at least this is the best strategy without a pop filter). This genre fits your voice fine.
