Hi all,
I have recently started to record some of my own music onto the laptop using my Zoom G9.2TT guitar effects board to the Kristal free download. I have basically cock all to use for my recording. My microphone is a Pink Goodmans one from my daughters Karaoke Machine. My SM58 got robbed by a so called mate!

When I first got my Zoom and realised I could use it as an interface I was beaming and ended up pulling an all nighter!! Started creating a drum track from sample beats at 2200 and finished up with drums, rhythm guitar and lead guitar all laid down at 0630 then it was time to get ready for work again Doh!!!
I have yet to complete a song in it's entirety but I'm patient and committed to finishing all my own music just as soon as I can!

My first home recording experience was going guitar to home stereo mic input, record to tape. Switch tapes, play guitar tape and sing on new tape. Swap tapes again, play Guitar and Vocals and record lead guitar!!! Headache central!!

Anyway I'll stop bleating now and search the site for hints and tips on getting the most out of the cock all that I have! Maybe make a bit of money to buy some gear!!

Hello and Cheers for the fab forum

Chris

Keep that job man, you're going to need it finance a bit more gear by the sounds of it...

You'll be needing to upgrade that mic for a start. This one's a favourite round here at the moment. Warm and punchy...

Awesome mic! I bet they are expensive!!
Surely you could get a decent condenser mic for less than that!!!
