I must say the bare nakedness of sticks, keyboard & vox worked for me.

Let's just say that if this particular project doesn't become a reality, we've at least stirred up some interest in the idea.
My level of confidence regarding recording is none too high at present, but I'm willing to give it a go.

I'm not sure what all of that means, BluesMeister. Are you in or out??
Here's my summary:
1. We have a gazillion guitar players, but not one has stepped forward to handle the guitar parts in this song.
2. We need a bass. To make it even easier, the entire bass line is already there for you in the midi track. Where's our bass players.
3. There's several keyboard parts in this song. There's a Rhodes (I believe) playing the part I have in the midi track. There's also a piano, and I think a hammond. James, Clemmie, anyone?
4. Sax. I don't think we have a sax player among us. ChuckU, want to try it on trumpet?
5. Drums. If we don't have a drummer among us, I can get our drummer to do it.
6. BGV's. Great BGV's in this song. I think it may be difficult to try and do harmonies at separate locations (but I'm willing to try). If not and you want the Dachays to do them, I'm pretty sure I can pull that off. <shameless plug> For those not familiar with the Dachays - you can check out one of our songs at
http://mywpages.comcast.net/jcaporaso/music/ Any one of them will have vocal harmony in it. Try Can't Find the Time if you also want to hear ChuckU's trumpet. </shameless plug>
If anyone needs a copy of the original song to work from, I have it on CD. I'd be more than glad to make an mp3 and e-mail it you. Or if Porter wants to host it, even better (although that might be illegal).
I'm warning all of you, this is my frist and last Do It for The Gipper speech. If there's no interest, then I guess there's no interest. I'm still willing to do Reminiscing, if the issue is the song.
