Yes! I've always wanted to see Dachay in a tight, red suit. :D
Trust me on this, you really don't! :) I would look a little like the fat Elvis - only without hair.

Can we play a tune in minor scales this time?
Well then you pick something, Norway Man.

Do something by Crosby, Stills and Nash. That way you can use lots of voices in the final mix.

Guinevere?

Q.

Actually, don't do anything at all.

The BPOM mix you guys posted still makes me cry tears of frustration. Good playing and great mixing. I could not believe how cleanly those backup vocals popped out in the mix.

Just save me, (and everyone else), the grief and envy and don't do another collab.

Or how about this - ask everyone for a $US20 contribution and teach them every step of making the Uber-Track!

You guys suck.

:) Q.

(In a good way! Sorry Moskus - had to make it explicit......... That sub-text can be a bitch when I ain't typing Norwegian......)

We actually used to sing Guenivere some years back. It could quite possibly be the most difficult harmony parts we've ever sung.

Any MP3's floating around? I love this song and wish I was David Crosby and Neil Young's love child.

It's a sore point..........

I spent 45 minutes on Saturday trying to track a simple minim vocal line which made me sing F-Eb-C.

When I picked up the guitar and sang along with no tracks, I could sing F-Eb-C with no problems in the world. Everytime I went to sing the backup line to my lead I ended up singing F-E-C.

I literally could not get it through my thick head.

I need to hear it and live it in my soul before I can reproduce it. This was one of those "weird" harmony intervals that nearly killed me. I wanted to sing F-E-Bb straight off the bat, (the songs is jazz-interval city), and I could not get to F-Eb-C for love or money.

I ended up zooming Sonar in really close, placing markers in and singing it acappella to actually hit the right notes.

WEIRD!

I don't envy the Guinevere challenge. I have enough trouble trying to choose a lead line to sing.

:) Q.

I'm sure you sounded awesome irregardless.

I wish there were. This was way before we ever started recording ourselves, and no recording exists.

Of course that has the benefit of allowing my memory to believe we actually sung it much better than we probably did. :)

Stop telling me those things!

In my mind you are some all conquering, masked harmony-crusader!

Don't tell me now that Robin was out of tune and chafing because of the tights!

:) Q.

OK - last thought (just realised how important this thread is to increasing one's post count.....)

How about something like "Got Me Wrong" or "Nutshell" from either of Alice In Chain's acoustic EP's "Sap" or "Jar of Flies"

All of them have nice harmonies to play with, minor melodic melodies and some interesting guitar lines.

Fare thee well, I am going to bed.

Bad news I'm afraid, you don't get any post credits in this forum:eek: ;) Otherwise, Dachay's post count would be into zillions:D

I thought that was the whole purpose of the Hey Moskus thread.

I can't see what other possible function it might be serving.

:D :D

Reminds you to check your PMs... And to tell you to get a real life :D :D :D

I officially have no life now.

I bought a Studio Projects C1 on the weekend.

Wow! Makes me a very happy camper. Much better than any of my other LDC's.

Just had to share the joy.

Whoa! Hehehe... yeah... umh... well... errrrrr... I mean... sure... welcome to the club... :D

I guess this thread is also called "post your monthly upgrade routine here" :D

Last weekend I went down town to buy new set of string for my guitar. The music store was doing sale out on several -end of the year- stock. The sales bastard forced me to buy (again) Shure Beta 58A wireless UT-4 for ~$440. I bought exactly same thing couple years ago for ~$800. Damn... I was so easy... :(

Back home, wifey was little upset with it. I told her I bought it for HER, so I wouldn't have to clean lipstick in MY mic anymore... she was spechless... May I have my life now?

;)
