Ah! As I said, I didn't actually try and rejoin them. However, I imagine a simple renaming of the files would work. (I guess that's what you did with new uploadPorter said:
dachay2tnr, there was a problem with the second file that you uploaded onto Yahoo... both of the split files need to be the same name with the .001 and .002 after it. I downloaded, tried joining them and it didn't work the first time... I'm in the process of uploading a corrected file. Should be there by the time I've finished typing this (almost). Basically... if you download the two files now you should be right.

Porter, that may have something to do with the patch you are using to play it back. I have found sometimes when auditioning bass sounds, that using a different patch will cause an octave shift.Porter said:I am having a look at the Bass part... slowly... ie mostly listening to it at this stage. I plan on over the next few nights writing a tab for it... I think in some instances it is an octave lower than what was in the MIDI file...
There is a 3MB limitation imposed by my ISP for e-mail attachments. I could split the MP3 and send it to you in easy-to-assemble halves. PM me to let me know which address to send it to.dachay2tnr said:BluesMeister - I'll need to get the Click Plus Rhythym mp3. What's the best way to do this? Can you e-mail it to me - or is there a size limit on your e-mails?
My rhythm part includes the muted guitar in the intro (panned hard L and hard R). I've used the same muted riff throughout the song.Is anyone planning to do a lead guitar solo (right before the sax solo) and the muted stuff in the intro?
Porter or Paul? How are your bass desires???And did we resolve who is doing the bass? And, if so, does anyone need a mix of the song without the existing bass part?
Er, now that you mention it... I think maybe it does. I'll have to check that out. I'll need to check my Welcome to... joining-up e-mail from my ISP when I get home tonight.Porter said:Does your ISP give you any web space?
Thank you for that honour!!Porter said:I was thinking about Moskus for the Guitar solo...

As I said, that could be a result of the patch. I programmed it in piano roll view and primarily went by ear. As I said earlier, some of these patches seem to play the same identical notation in different octaves. I never fully understood that, but since transposing is so easy in midi, I never spent alot of time figuring it out. If the part sounded an octave off when I switched patches, I just transposed it up or down as needed.I was playing it using the 'Porter' patch. I generated a 'tab' from the MIDI file to play along with... it sounds an octave lower on the original recording... so I'll play around with it and go from there.
That I don't believe for a minute! That is a Cave-thread! Ha!dachay2tnr said:With even less real content than the ADD thread.![]()

Go straight to the doctor, do not pass Go. That kind of fatigue could be associated with a number of disorders, Porter.Porter said:I'm really tired all the time at the moment... even after sleeping for like 12 hours a night on the weekend and after 8-9 hours sleep a night.

I've heard good things about the Porter Patch. Is there anywhere I can get a demo version?Porter said:Well I know the 'patch' I uses isn't 100% up to scratch
