The Sansamp gt2 has a good SVT tone and the ax1b is for bass what the pod and jstation are for guitar. I know some pros who could get anything and they get the ax1b.

effects loop

I 'm wondering if I can use the J Station in the effects loop of my amp and use just the effects not the preamp of the J, i know you can do this with v-amp and that alone is a reason for me to go for the v-amp 2. Though one of the selling points for the J is it's spdif out and 24 bit 44.1 khz, the v-amp is 24 bit 30 something khz with only analog outs. So is my effects loop scenario above with the J station viable ?

So do you have one? I am not really interested in all of the flange effects and wah stuff that the Korg website play as samples. I mean that stuff is cool, but I need a direct recording setup that can produce a useable bass sound for a more standard tone. Got any samples that you can post for me?

My Bass signal chain is Bass-ART levelar-Korg AX1b-GT2-Blue tube-DPS16. My favorite patch on the Korg is "late 70's" but if you go to your local store and play with the patches you will find like 40 to play with.
