I know it needs some help...i am posting the mp3 and pics of my setup.

i am also using an Mbox that cant be seen in the pics.

i am not sure if its a good idea to use two different mics for the overheads but the 603s on the left side was picking up the highs of the crash way too much. The dragonfly seems to be responding much better to the crash. Now I am using the 603s on th ekick instead.

I am using a Sennheiser e609 silver on the snare.

Also...on the Yamaha MG10 mixer, how do i send my stereo line outs to my Mbox line inputs? I am using the C-R OUT but I am not sure if thats the correct ones. This is the first time i am actually using a mixer...also why is it that i can not use the gain and level controls to completely shut off my 603s overhead? I can completely lower the gain and the level and i still get the red LED to peak!??

Thanks!

When you hit the bass drum it sounds like the snares are buzzing a lot.

The set sounds good

I like the tuning on the toms; yeah, you have some rattles and snare issues. The recording levels are way too low, especially on the bass end of the spectrum. Give the whole signal a boost on the way out of the Mbox, and boost the EQ for the Blue on the low end.

Good overall sound. I like the snare. The bass drum seems panned a little too far right listening through my headphones. It definitely sounds like a real kit. I 'm not too sure about your bass drum tuning though as it sounds a little too ringy/boomy as if the one or both of the heads are tuned too high. Try tuning the batter head down. I would close mic the bass a little more after looking at the included pics and that would proably instantly reduce the amount of unwanted snare buzzing you're hearing. The 603's a REALLY sensitive to the high frequencies and that's probably what's causing the redlining on your mixer. Sounds like the snare is clipping a bit in the mixer when you hit it harder but it's not a digital input clip. The toms and snare sound excellent. Keep up the good work. You'll get "that" sound" eventually.
