Same scenario as the track7 mix I threaded a few days ago. 10 minute mix, 5 minute mastering job, mixed on PA speakers...etc....

This was probably the most solid track of the 8.

Enjoy!

Pretty cool Ed. As good or better than most live recordings I've PAID for. Did the drummer actually *choose* that snare sound? :)

You've certainly got that place setup nicely for recording live gigs!

Slackmaster 2000

another sweet mix.....not crazy about the tune itself, though.....or that snare that Slack mentioned......heard way too much Bare Naked Ladies influence in this one......that bass must have caused a blister or two though, it was good...........gibs

whoops.. posted a reply in the wrong thread... that was close! :)

Clean for sure, find the snare reverb at bit much, but I'm sure it worked in the setting. Really dig the bass player, guitars sound good too. Too bad the mess up at 2:00. He should really lay off those types of fills, or learn how to play them, does the same thing at 2:59. Anyway, don't need comments on the playing.

Great mix, good capture. Annoying song though!

I am not sure what snare sound you are talking about Slack. That is his snare with a very big, long plate reverb on it.....Yup, I missed what I was after in the reverb, but then again, it is not like I had a lot of time to deal with it eh? ;)

Hey Ed

Nice work there. Is that from the Paris?

I gotta get my band shit together and have it recorded live man, it sounds real good.

I like that tuned snare!!! The 'verb on the snare, the
pulse of the kick, and the bassist all sound tight and phat!!
The song is kinda' wild,
("SpeedRacer...dididididdaaa....Speed Raaaa-cer!")
but the actual recording of the band is most excellent!
Did you add some 'verb to the band,or is it the
actual acoustics of the room? It sounds great! Luv Live
music!
Good job Ed!!!!
