looks like the sears Stage series amp. for rockin out, it aslo looks really cheap. where did you find this relic?

Do you have any posted samples of how this thingy sounds!!??

I really like the Mood Adjuster - I could use one of those around the house here. :D

I have personally owned and operated every piece-o-crap junk effects box ever built since the dawning of the fuzz-face in 1966 and have never seen this one before!!...is it only an effects box? I think some on here are fooled by the amplifier connotation in its name...its gotta be tremendously hideous in a beautiful sorta way

yes..this is an *effects only* box, and not an amplifier. And, I decided about 15 years ago to stop selling instruments, amps, etc, because I always ended up regretting it later. I don't have any posted samples of the thing, and actually, I don't really use it anymore that much. The fuzz sounds pretty close to a fuzzface with a tone switch on it. The tremelo is great...like the Fender amps, and the mood is interesting because it is like the early MXR 90's, AND it has a vibrato that is actually a de-tune effect. The phase and the fuzz sound pretty good together, but it is pretty dated sounding, imo. ...it IS nice and full however. My "old tech leads" and "opinions" have led me to the direction that it is made by Benson (or Binson)...the guys who made the echo-rec ...the competition for the echoplex. It is slightly larger than 20 inches across, and has no printing on it anywhere (inside included) that gives anymore information as to who made it, where, and so on. I bought it used out of the paper in the early 70's, and have been guessing ever since as far as what the actual facts are about it. ...never seen another, nor any SOLID info from anyone else. I thought it would just be fun to post something strange for a change!!! Ha!!

thanks for looking!!

btw...I take that back about selling some stuff (even though I'd like to keep this effects unit). I just recently sold an original Dallas Arbiter fuzzface on Ebay and got like $310!!....I couldn't believe it...and it was missing a knob too. I got a zillion emails, and I finally had to post a pic of the insides too....then the price zoomed up.

Additionally, I sold an old Arp Odyssee, that I NEVER used...considered hanging on my wall as art....but decided to get a couple bucks for some mics out of it. The bastard got me over $800 pezutas!!! I really freaked then.

Additionally, additionally......I sold a Moog para EQ and a Moog 12 stage phasor (which was broke), and got $600 for the pair. I was happy...but then saw the same stuff fetching over $1200 on Harmony Central. (it wasn't the same units, I am pretty sure). Then, it seemed like people were asking to buy them all of a sudden. I had researched these suckers to the best of my ability to see if they WERE collectors stuff...but ended feeling I got what they were worth.....I guess....sigh!!

If you sold it. How much do you think you could get for it?

well...considering some of the prices I mentioned above, I suppose around $300 would be about right...(to a collector). Personally, I wouldn't pay that much. But since I have YET to find ANYONE else who has ever seen one, I suppose it might bring a bit more. The fuzzface [mentioned above] at $310 freaked me out for sure. I find that *retro* sounds aren't what I am really into that much anyway, and that items like this have limited use. I get much more mileage out of my POD, J-station, rat, whammy wah.......etc. Like I said, I am MOST facinated with the fact that no one else has ever seen one...and I find that weird.
