Sir Cool of Coronado
a few people have asked to hear some music from me, I havent had anything until now. I recorded our last show on minidisk with a stereo clip on mic. this is our second show, so I'm still trying to work out singing live, it's pretty easy in the studio. so here's my disclaimer: the vocals suck ass, but you'll get an idea of my music. hope someone enjoys this.

ameth don't feel too bad about the vocals..first, it's easy to get off key with falsettos, and second, Crosby Stills Etc's vocals could sound TERRIBLE live every now and then...I think falsetto is way harder to sing than regular anyway....
Uh, how many mics did you have? I gathered only one because everything was pretty much lost 'cept the drums...and if you only used one mic, ya can't make a magic mix I guess...good tune, good flow...gibs

ametth,
You have a pretty tight band, it sounded good. I sang live a few years back for the first time and I didn't like it. I think it takes a lot of doing it to get good at singing in front of people and getting the vocal monitors to the right levels and just getting it all right. I could never hear what I was singing and was just hoping it was good, but I was way off. So keep going and you'll get them the way you like them and you'll have a really good band.

Pretty tight for a 2nd show... Everything sounded cool to me except the vocals... My advice: ditch the falsetto... Thats just me... I couldnt really understand where the vocals were trying to go... I heard two vocal parts that both sounded like the same falsetto pitch... Maybe one of you guys should drop down into Baritone... I donno... Thats just me... didnt sound natural... Almost sounded like you were making fun of falsetto singers at some points... except you stuck with it through the whole song...
The mix sounded good for a one mic set up... And once again, everyone was tight.

I agree with the previous comments; great performance for a 2nd show - and actually not a bad sound for the way it was recorded. I dug the tune too - I like the style. I look forward to hearing the stuff done in your studio. :)

Where's the stu-stu studio stuff?
Does that MD recorder turn into a pumpkin or does the drummer take it home after the show?

I'm starting on the studio stuff next week. I'll post as soon as I get it all together.

I got one thing to say, you got some big balls to post something Live, :) I liked the style and the music it was real tight, but I'm anxious to hear the studio cuts...enjoyed the tune man.

In light of my new financial situation... The "Dick" guitar is now for sale... It was actually built by a guy named Lou Desio who used to give guitar lessons to Buddy Guy. The neck is an old Strat neck, the pick-ups are DiMarzio and the Tremelo is a Kahler Flyer(dont make em any more). It was built around 1982... I played it from 1986-1994.. Then I moved on to a guitar with active EMG's which I used exclusively after that because I had to set my amp up in a radically different way to get good sounds from each guitar... The guitar has lots of hard miles on it, but its solid(Heavy) and made from top of the line parts...
$400 OBO...

I took the song down today to make room for lovesong.

S8N, I would have bought your dick guitar, but I didnt know it had a tremelo thing on it. I cant stand tremelo.
