Let me begin by stating, I am not a drummer.
I am a guitar player (or I pretend to be on weekends), who happens to have some drums.
I've never attempted to record drums, but I've been practicing a little bit.

Would somone be so kind as to tell me, from my list of stuff how I might best situate my limited amount of mics?

Mic's
  1. sm57
  2. sm58
  3. SPB1
  4. Senn e845
  5. Senn e609s
  6. various junk/crap mics
Mic pre's
  1. M audio DMP3
  2. Mackie 808m (powered mixer)
The mackie has pretty crappy pre's in it, but it does have more than two inputs! That's the only reason I've included it here...

Thanks in advance.

Just running out but this looked like fun so I'll have a crack ...

I've not used the E609S but I'd want to experiment with it on kick and snare ... otherwise:

OH - B1 above the drummer's head pointing towards the snare (so the snare stays in the centre of the image)
Snare - E845
Kick - SM58 or E609S

Then put the SM57 on snare bottom, or try it on a tom (they're not great on toms but hey).

I'd use the DMP-3 on OH and kick ... but OH and snare is good too ...

My best advice would be to get another B1 to make a pair of overheads, and to get a little Yamaha MG10/2 which will give you four more usable pres.

Don't totally omit some of those crappy mics, even though they might sound terrable for vocals or guitar, sometimes they work pretty well for cymbals. I've got some cheapos that sound like tin cans for everything else but for some reason (frequency response maybe) they are great on crash and not bad on ride cymbals.

Well I would first just go for a basic setup, And mess around with mic placement.
E609- sounds great on snare.
Sm57 - kick
B1 -over head
