Reached For My Raincoat. This is basically an improvised jam that got turned into a song. Vocals start at 2:38….long intro.

Not really my thing - it was raining outside part is a bit vacant - but the ‘when I reach my rainbow' part is very cool - if it were me I’d base the song on that line and expand from there.

Thanks!

My collaborator wrote and sang these lyrics, the lyrics are pretty much set on this one. He’s long moved away since this was recorded.

Robin Trower meets Steppenwolf (a la The Pusher live at the Matrix 1967) ;)

Are these unmixed tracks?
The vocal seems to need the most attention to start. Not the lyrics, yet. . Just cleaning up a bit.

Thank you!
This is a rough from the night we tracked it. A 20 minute mix just to hear it.

I built a 12-string for John Kay back in the 80’s. He was very cool and a super nice unpretentious guy. His solo album ‘Forgotten Songs and Unsung Heros’ is one of my favorite records ever! The lyrics are set on this one. But I know the vocal is buried in this rough.

Just took a quick listen - Many a Mile and Walk Beside Me. Sort of folk music with an edge. I like it very much. Great voice.

I love both of those songs and cover Many A Mile in my acoustic set. When I first discovered that album about 6 years ago and put it on, it sounded like it was recorded then in 2017, not way back in 1970.
