Hey...don't really know what to make out of this one...got a little buzzed and decide to try writing a blues tune :p ...its in open E tuinig and I tried to play some slide on it as well...her it is,any mix/arrangmet critiques are welcome as this is 1st mixdown and I would like to make it better if possible

Yeah, I gotta hear this based on the name alone... nice! & that picture :eek: :eek: :eek: ANYWAY, onto the song...

That is one sweet guitar tone there! Love it, & nice playing. This is a fun tune to listen to. The vox to me sound a little bit like David Lee Roth does the blues. Pretty cool. Yeah I really dig this! Fun stuff...

I won't comment on any mixing yet since I'm listening on very low quality headphones in a lab :p

Okay, just had to let you know I couldn't resist pulling the plug on the headphones over here & playing it loud. We had some fun with this, although it got some of the scientist dudes dancing & that ranks up there as "the most disturbing thing I've seen this year" Fun tune :p :p
 
Dude, cool tune. Bring the vocs up a bit, as they sound fun. Nice playing, and the tone is just too cool. Makes this song awesome.

Thanks Snake!Im going back to tweek it a bit....I think I have way to much 'verb on the vox and I want to re do the guitar solo.Dancing Scientist eh?That sounds like a potential song in itself hmmnnn.... :rolleyes: !

thanks Dogman!Yeah, after hearing it awa from my monitors/pc...Im not to happy with the vox...I think I buried em' in verb!I really would like to get that old radio/megaphone sound,but not sure how to go about it..maybe eq?Anyways gonna remix and see what I can come up with.

I've gotten it with eq. Just get rid of all the sonds you don't want, and leave it really thin. Sounds good though.

I love this stuff, this is Zep all the way, Ilove thr guitar palying on this track, its just fenonomenal, I love it.
You playin here, its extremely well played, if so I would love to do a colab, your right up my street.

I love this tune man I`m listening as I write, and I`m drunk, well not drunk but certainly not sober.
I think the lyrics sound a bit punkish to me, I t would be cool to hear some Robert Plantis lyrics on this....

Thanks alot!Zeppelin,Tull,Hendrix,and early Genesis were the big influences for me growing up and its cool when people recognize it in my songs!Anytime on the colab!
 
Aaaahhhh...Finally a tune that I don't have to wait 5 minutes for it to download. That's half the reason I don't listen to alot of people's tunes. I lose interest while waiting.
This is too cool. You're gonna think I'm nuts but it reminds of Zep. Awesome title, and great guitar playing. Nice feel in everything. I'm not crazy about the effect on your voice. Your singing has a come along way in the few months I've been listening to you. You're singing great on this one, no need to disguise it under alot of effects. Maybe just a bit less of it. If you want an AM Radio type sound, try cutting the low's and high's. I actually have a plug in for that. This is one fun tune with awesome guitar playing.
 
I still love it. The title is just awesome on it's own. Music is way too fun. I can't tell a whole lot of difference from the last version, but vocals seem to sit a bit better within the song.
 
Rami - Thanks man...yeah I love Zeppelin so I guess its bound to come thru in my playing...I'm just not confident in my vocals so I tend to mush em up with verb and doubletracking...gonna try and strip em down and put em out there raw to see how it sounds.Thanks alot for the feedback!I appreciate your advice!

Dogman - Thanks...I totally retracked the vocals and tried to kick the slide guitar up a bit in the mix....still think I got a ways to go with the vocals and I just cant get that megaphone sound on em yet...I'll kkep trying!Thanks for listening!

The vox effects give it kind of a live feel, which I think is a cool/fun change.

Thanx Snake...yeah...all the guitars are done with my Line6 Variax,which is cool cause you can set up diffrent tunings like open E or something...and with the flick of the selector switch...be in a whole diffrent tuning without having to actually retune your guitar!I also use a POD XTLive, which is also pretty cool to tweek with and get tone!
